We will work collectively to revive the NLLC newsletter as well as publish zines and perhaps create a short documentary film, depending on the interests of participants. This class will provide opportunities to discuss articles and documentaries, to explore the tenets of journalistic practice, and to experiment with techniques including interviewing, surveying, observing and writing. Additionally, there will be need for illustrations, graphic design and photography!

Ideal students will be interested in creating publications, curious about the world, and willing to take on writing and/or illustration and photography assignments. Parents and (quietly self engaged) siblings are welcome to stay in the room but are not required to stay.
