Clean-Up Descriptions

Thank you for your help in keeping our shared spaces neat and clean and maintaining our relationship with St. Paul’s. If you need help please reach out to current or previous board-members. If you need to cover a cleaning shift please ask a NLLC friend or email the northernlight_core@googlegroups.com with the details of your shift.

Time Frame: 12:25 – 1:00 pm

Downstairs:

Room B, Room C, Waiting Room and Hallway: make sure rooms are put back the way they were when we arrived, with tables and chairs up against  walls. Tables should be cleaned if dirty, rooms and hallways swept, garbage emptied and put in the garbage room, and all items removed. Turn off all lights.

Time Frame: 1:15 – 1:30 pm

Downstairs:

Room A (After Quiet Lunch) and Basement Bathrooms: make sure the room is put back the way it was when we arrived, with tables and chairs up against  walls. Tables should be cleaned if dirty, room swept, garbage emptied and put in the garbage room, all items removed. Check that bathrooms and sinks are clean, please do not remove the garbage from the bathroom, these are locked in and the church cleaning crew takes care of them. Turn off all lights.

Time Frame: 2:30-3:30 pm

Lunchroom Level and Hallway: Put chairs back against the walls (please do not stack the chairs), vacuum rugs, sweep floors, wipe tables and counters down, clean sink, empty garbages and put in the garbage room, all items removed and turn off lights. Check hallway to front door, stairway and bathrooms for mud and sweep as needed. 

Upstairs:

Gym and Stairwell: Toys get put back where they belong, mats, pillows, bean bags and slides are stacked against the left wall and off labyrinth, stairs put back against the wall. Make sure things are put back where they were when we arrived, sweep all areas when necessary, empty all garbage and recycling cans and put them in the garbage room in the basement, all items are removed, make sure windows are closed and turn off all lights. The stairwell also need to check for mud, salt, and snow and swept as needed.

Ping Pong Room and Gym Annex:  Make sure Ping Pong room and Annex are clean and things put back where they were when we arrived, sweep all areas when necessary, empty all garbages and recycling cans and put in garbage room in basement, all items are removed, make sure windows are closed and turn off all lights. 

Outside:

Playground: Help remind fellow co-op members that we are all responsible for cleaning up.  If we take toys out, or are playing with toys, it is each of our responsibility to put them away.  Make sure all toys have been returned to shed and sand toys to sand toy bin. Cover sandbox with tarp.
