Shannon & Susanne team up to present a Who’s Who in the history of math. Each week we’ll learn about a famous mathematician and do hands-on science, math & art activities related to their discoveries. Mathematicians to get us started include Archimedius, the Greek Streaker, and catapults; Ada Lovelace and coding; Koch snowflakes and fractals; Sophie Germain and number patterns. We will place our scholars on a timeline and find their location on a world map. Extension activities will be provided for families to further explore our topics.

Students should be able to work in a small group and listen to instructors and peers.

Parental involvement is strongly encouraged during class time and Yes, siblings are encouraged to join in the class activities.
